Outdoor Activities Updates During COVID-19

The B.C. Wildlife Federation believes we all need to be able to get outdoors for healthy activity during this time of physical distancing. B.C. Parks have reopened and we are currently in Stage 3 of the B.C. Restart Plan, which includes travelling within the province. Review the B.C. Restart Plan when you consider planning outdoor activities this fall and before you head out to hunt and fish, check the Hunting and Angling Closure Update.

We’ve written to Premier Horgan to express how important it is for us to be able to get outside with our families, and why we need to expand access to BC’s wilderness as this epidemic evolves. Read the full letter here.

These difficult times provide the opportunity to teach your children outdoor skills and contribute to building local food security. Please be safe, follow the rules and let us know how you are doing. We’d love to get your photos of your family hunting and fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. Send your photos to us at marketing@bcwf.bc.ca.

During these unprecedented circumstances we appreciate the support, patience and understanding of our members, sponsors, and supporters. We will continue to provide you with updates via email and our social media channels.

Thank you, please look after yourselves and each other.
