Webinar: Win-win options for moose management and caribou recovery

Join Biodiversity Pathways co-director and senior scientist, Dr. Rob Serrouya and wildlife ecologist Mateen Hessami on April 25th as they discuss their research on the Revelstoke Valley antlerless moose hunting policy, its impact on moose hunters, and caribou recovery.

In this webinar, they will look back at forestry, hunter harvest, and moose GPS data to understand how antlerless moose hunting policies have impacted the number of moose that hunters were able to harvest amidst declining moose habitat conditions. They will then look forward (to 2040) to understand how different forest cut scenarios would impact moose-wolf densities and therefore the recovery of endangered caribou.
