New research presented by Manuel Soto Dávila, Ph.D. candidate, supervised by Dr. Brian Dixon at the University of Waterloo,
Manuel Soto Dávila’s research, conducted on Quadra Island, examines the immune systems of triploid Chinook salmon, and whether the use of probiotic supplements prevents high mortalities associated with marine pathogens.
The findings represent an important improvement in a species with high potential for aquaculture on the north Pacific coasts, and provide insights that can contribute to the conservation of this key species.
Please note that the webinar will be recorded and made available on YouTube as well as shared with all registrants.
