A survey about newly prohibited firearms in Canada

We need your help to tell the true story of how the newly prohibited firearms were used in Canada.

Since the federal government announced sweeping changes to firearms classifications on May 1, 2020, there has been plenty of misconceptions and a significant lack of understanding about how these newly prohibited firearms are used by Canadians across the country.

We want to fix that and help better educate and inform the general public, political, and legal discussions related to the ban that are happening right now. Your experience with, and knowledge of these firearms, is an imperative element of this discussion. To date, there has been no detailed analysis of how these newly prohibited firearms were used prior to the May 1 ban.

The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) has prepared a survey to assemble a National report. BCWF supports this initiative through our partnership with National Fishing and Hunting Collaborative. We encourage you to participate and provide accurate information on the responsible use of these firearms.
