Play and Learn in Outdoor Wild Spaces
Learn how to make a shelter, build a fire and navigate through the wilderness! Wild Kidz is designed for children and youth ages 8 to 14 to learn outdoor skills, wilderness safety and about their community’s wild spaces in a fun, safe environment.
There are a range of activities provided, from visiting local ecological attractions – like provincial or national parks – to BCWF members providing programs or demonstrations of their outdoor-related talents. Each camp is programmed around the host community’s attractions and resources, making every camp a unique experience.
Camper Registration is now closed for our Surrey, Christina Lake, and Nanaimo camps. Port Alberni registration is open until July 14th!

Camp Dates & Locations
COST
Early Bird (before April 19):
- Non-member: $325.00
- BCWF Members: $275.00
Normal (April 20 onwards):
- Non-member: $350.00
- BCWF Members: $300.00
*Wild Kidz 1 – Surrey has a reduced rate as it is a shorter week due to the Canada Day Long Weekend.
*Wild Kidz 5 will have different registration dates due to its delayed open. Please see the registration link for details.
Please note: if the registration fee for camp is a barrier for your family, please send us an email at youth@bcwf.bc.ca. We do our best to connect youth with the inability to pay with sponsors and donors who can subsidize their costs.

Cancellation Date/Refund Rate
- On or before May 15 (inclusive) – 100%
- May 16 – May 30 (inclusive) – 50%
- June 1 – June 15 (inclusive) – 25%
- June 16 onwards – 0%
