Photo Contest for Our 65+ Community in B.C.

The B.C. Wildlife Federation's Fish Habitat Education and Restoration Initiative is hosting a bi-weekly, fish-themed photo contest for our B.C. 65+ community in collaboration with Employment and Social Development Canada. How the Photo Contest Works:

Running from November 13th, 2020 until March 31st, 2021, the bi-weekly, fish-themed Photo Contest is a new and exciting opportunity for B.C. community members at a minimum age of 65  to get outdoors and photograph nature.

If eligible, you have the opportunity to submit your favourite personal photos connected to the themes below. For each theme, we will choose a winner, who wins a unique BCWF prize pack and a special surprise. Each winner will be contacted by phone and announced on the B.C. Wildlife Federation’s Facebook Page on the dates listed below under “Announcement of Winners”.


Eligibility & Rules

To enter the photo contest, your minimum age must be 65 and you must be a B.C. resident.

  • Photos must be submitted by using the form below.
  • You are limited to one entry per person per theme.
  • By entering the contest, entrants agree that the photos submitted can be used by the BCWF on social media and for advertising purposes.
  • The winner will be contacted by phone. If no response is received after three business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.

**The photo must be taken by a 65+ community member but can be submitted by a person under 65 on behalf of the 65+ community member.

Photo Requirements and Themes

Your photo must be related to the bi-weekly theme in the table below. It must be current (or taken within the past year) and original (cannot be altered in any way). Please keep the theme start dates and deadlines for your photo submissions below in mind:
